The DRASH Utility Support Transport (UST) Trailer is an integrated support system designed to provide mobility, power, and/or environmental control to DRASH shelters. The trailers are functional in all terrain and have been established as “safe to transport” on “secondary and unimproved roads” by the Military Transport Management Command (MTMC). Trailers are suitable for sealift transportability, and many trailers are certified for air transport aboard select military aircraft.
Traditionally, utility trailers have analog-based power management systems. However, due to the increasing need for more energy efficient power solutions, select UST trailer models are now equipped with Intelligent Power Technology®
(IPT), a digital smart system that provides soldiers with the ability to control power distribution based on real time demands. When IPT combines with the DRASH UST, soldiers have a high performance, high mobility power system that preserves energy during battlefield operations.
DRASH UST Trailers are available in several different models. Some of the off the road trailer models include Genset outputs ranging from 5 kW to 33 kW and/or 5-ton, 8-ton or 12-ton environmental control units (ECUs). Those models with ECUs include one or two supply ducts and one or two return air ducts per unit, designed to attach to any shelter duct ports.
Select models of DRASH UST Trailers also include a 5, 16, 20, 26 or 45-gallon fuel tank with the capability to extract fuel from any external fuel source.
DRASH UST Trailers are available in the ten standard models and configurations, as listed below. Other variations and configurations are also available per customer request.
Each military off road trailer fulfills a special customer need, whether it is for cargo capacity, environmental control, electrical power, or all three.
