Used on its own or in conjunction with DRASH shelters The D-1000 Heater is rugged, lightweight, rust resistant, shock proof and easy to operate and maintain, providing 100,000 BTUs/hr of dry, clean heat at a rate of 720 CFMs at 40°F.
The heater includes an electronic control system that monitors for high heat conditions and flameout, and operates on an external input of 120 VAC @ 4.5 AMPS, 60 Hz, single-phase power. A visual fuel air pressure gauge is provided to make adjustments to match the appropriate fuel. Each heater has a placard mounted on the exterior canopy to indicate pressure settings to match fuel type. A one piece, molded polymer canopy and base eliminate the need for any fasteners normally associated with keeping a protective shell around the combustion chamber. The nine-gallon polymer fuel tank eliminates rust contamination and fuel coagulation caused by water seeping into metal fuel tanks. A thick-wall stainless steel combustion chamber acts as a heat exchanger and transfers heat to the flow of air while removing harmful fumes. The heater can be operated in either a full fresh air mode or a full re-circulated air mode. It’s unique design allows for stacking of multiple units to minimize transportation and storage.
