The DRASH Small Command Post Shelter, or C Shelter, is a lightweight, man-portable, rugged, reliable and user-friendly soft-walled shelter that can be used as a small command post, command sleep shelter, signal node or reconnaissance shelter.
Weighing only 170 pounds (77.1 kg) and with a usable area of 109 square feet (10 sq. m), the C Shelter is easily portable and flexible enough to accommodate a number of different types of operations and applications.
Its quick erect/strike design allows it to be set up or taken down using only two personnel in under ten minutes.
Since it does not require any special equipment, the shelter can be simply offloaded and positioned, lifted and spread, then pushed up and secured. It can also be attached to other DRASH shelters, such as the XB, M and J Series Shelters, to increase its operational footprint, as necessary.
A power port, duct port and optional stove pipe port make this shelter usable in all climates and weather conditions.
C Series Shelters pack down to less than 2 percent of deployed size for easy transport. Additionally, C Series Shelters can be integrated with DRASH Utility Support Transport (UST) Trailers to allow for a mobile lighting and environmental control power package that ensures optimum operations even in extreme weather conditions.
DRASH Shelters have undergone extensive testing at the Army’s Aberdeen Test Center and include rugged, reliable materials to hold up even under the toughest conditions.
All C Series Shelters include as part of the purchase price the complete shelter, ground cover, floor, steel stake set, repair kit, push poles and transport bag.
An optional stove pipe port is also available.
