FAYETTEVILLE, NC -- Each year the Fayetteville and Ft. Bragg communities come together for the Fayetteville North Carolina International Folk Festival.
The annual event, hosted by the North Carolina Arts Council, encourages celebration of cultural diversity through live music, games, crafts and a parade.
This year’s festival took place on the 27-30 of September, at the Fayetteville Park. With over 100,000 people in attendance, the Fayetteville Police Department and Fire Department wanted to establish a medical aid station and command post to ensure the event would run smoothly and safely.
DHS Systems LLC representatives were on site to assist the Fayetteville Police Department and Fire Department in setting up their stations.
The equipment included a 4XB Shelter and an HP 2C/20 Utility Support Trailer (UST) that set up on Bike Track® flooring. The DRASH XB Series Shelters are light-weight, man-portable shelters that can be applied as stand-alone tents or can be connected to other shelters to form command and control, life support, medical, and surge facilities anywhere quickly and efficiently. Additionally, UST Trailers provide transport capability, power and/or environmental control to DRASH shelters.
Jeffrey Lindstrom, DHS Ft. Bragg Business Development representative was present at this year’s festival and commented, “The Fayetteville and Ft. Bragg community appreciated all the support. As always, we are happy to provide assistance whenever and wherever it is needed.”
