Former Army Command Sergeant Major Joins DRASH Team at Fort Bliss
Kenny Adams, the new facility manager and Business Development representative at SF Bliss, comes to DHS Systems LLC with years of experience with DRASH products.
Having served in the U.S. Army for 31 years, Adams, who retired with the rank of Command Sergeant Major, has served in locations throughout the world. In 2004 he was assigned to 5th CORPS, Heidelberg, Germany as the G3 Sergeant Major. Over the next four years he would be in charge of all DRASH products used by the entire CORPS in Germany.
After a tour in Iraq, Kenny was involved with the 5th CORPS transformation to Seventh Army. His main responsibility was to design a new and larger footprint for the 7th Army Operational Command Post of the Future. Kenny and his team, with the help of the DRASH logistics team in Europe worked for six months to design the Command Post. In June of 08, the 7th Army Command Post of the Future was approved for use and is now one of the largest Command Posts in the Army today. Two months later, Adams retired and returned to the United States.
Impressed with the company’s product line, Adams quickly decided to join DHS Systems.
“I chose to work at DHS Systems for multiple reasons,” explains Adams. “The company has a core value system and I’ve used their equipment before. I’m impressed with the quality, the design and it’s the best shelter out there for Combat Brigades. Most importantly I get to stay within a military environment and work closely with soldiers.”
Recognizing the company’s dedication to the military, Adams hopes to contribute to DHS Systems' future success. He says, “I look forward to working with my colleagues, helping the company grow, and providing my customers with the best quality products out there.”
Kenny is located at SF Bliss and can be reached at kadams@drash.com, at 915.633.1156, or via mobile at 254.258.0525.
Spanish Company Expands With DRASH Shelter Systems
When DRASH distributor Dillers, S.A. first began in 1986 the company worked with suppliers to offer cables and specialty parts to the Spanish Navy. Today, the company serves all branches of the Spanish military, including the Navy, Marines, Army and Air Force, and provides a range of products.
Though Dillers has worked with American companies since its formation, the company first began working with DRASH products in 1999. With an increasing number of troops stationed in foreign countries, including Afghanistan, Lebanon and Kosovo, the Spanish military hoped to improve the quality of their equipment. Determined to meet the need for a sophisticated shelter system, Dillers quickly turned to DRASH.
“I had worked in America and was familiar with DRASH products,” explains Juan Nuche, Commercial Manager & DHS - DRASH Product Manager of Dillers.
“We met with CEO Jon Prusmack and began working with DHS Systems to provide the shelters the military needed.
Impressed with the logistics support, isolation qualities and mobility of DRASH shelters, various branches of the Spanish military have since used the systems as hospitals.
In 2004 Dillers signed an agreement with DRASH international subsidiary company MilSys (UK) Ltd. The relationship has proven beneficial for both the company and its customers.
“Working with MilSys has helped us increase our sales. We can deliver our customers’ orders more quickly and we don’t have to be concerned with a customs tax” says Nuche.
“And it’s made working with DRASH much easier. I can fly to England in an hour and a half to meet with people from the company, and there’s a much smaller time difference.”
